Allan Law Group PC obtained a $5 million dollar verdict for Funk legend singer Sly Stone against his former manager and lawyer and their company Even St. Prod. Ltd
Allan Law Group PC obtained a $5 Million dollar verdict for breach of contract and money had and received over music royalties on January 27, 2015. A Los Angeles Superior Court Jury unanimously decided in favor of Sly Stone, whose real name is Sylvester Stewart, and awarded Sly Stone $2.5 million against defendant Even St. Prod. Ltd for breach of their employment contract with Sly Stone and $2,450,000 against Gerald Goldstein and $50,000 against lawyer Glenn Stone for monies taken from the Company that should have gone to Sly Stone.
Stone entered in to an agreement with his manager and lawyer to collect his royalties for him and manage his affairs, but over time, the defendants diverted much of the royalties coming into the company away from Sly to themselves through their company, Even St Prod. Ltd.
