• Allan Law Group recently obtained a significant reversal in a California Court of Appeal case involving a $65 million judgment against the Firm's client. In one of the largest monetary divorce proceedings in California history, Allan Law Group obtained a reversal in the California Court of Appeal, securing for its Client a $12 million reduction in spousal support. After years of contentious litigation, Allan Law Group's experienced and valued appellate team took over the case and vindicated its Client's previously rejected position that the amount of spousal support was excessive. Allan Law Group's attorneys frequently appear and argue before appellate courts. The Firm is pleased to add this recent victory to its successful appellate portfolio.

• Allan Law Group successfully obtained a settlement in the amount of $7,750,000 against the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for business interruption damages incurred by their client, Hollywood Center Studios, in an action for inverse condemnation for the destruction of an office building due to a fire caused by a malfunctioning DWP transformer. The studio is one of the largest independently-owned entertainment studios in Southern California.


• On behalf of its client, a US based representative of a Chinese Manufacturing Company and international importer-exporter, Allan Law Group successfully  obtained a pre-judgment writ of attachment in the amount of $756,000 against one of the  largest nationwide distributors of fruit products in the U.S.  Faced with vigorous opposition, Allan Law Group defeated the Defendant’s counter-claims and established the Defendant’s indebtedness to its Client. In ordering the issuance of a pre-judgment writ of attachment, the trial court concluded the Firm’s Client was likely to prevail at trial.
   
  
• In a matter involving O.J Simpson’s infamous account of the Goldman/Simpson murders, “If I Did It,” the rights to which were acquired by the Goldman family, Martin Snyder of Allan Law Group represented the Goldman’s literary agent and, prior to Arbitration, successfully negotiated a settlement of the agent’s claim for publishing royalties for the domestic and foreign sales of the book.
  
  
• Allan Law Group recently obtained a six figure settlement for a client in a Breach of Contract case against a well known Hollywood entertainer.

• In another case, our attorneys acted in association with east coast counsel in successfully resolving a dispute involving breach of contract and a licensing issue between our clients- an entertainment newsletter and a well-known talk show host- against a digital media and publishing company.
  
  
• Allan Law Group acts as general counsel for one of Hollywood’s best known nightclubs, representing them in litigation disputes, assisting them with corporate compliance, employment law, insurance disputes, leasing arrangements and rental agreements.


• Allan Law Group recently acted as Cumis Counsel for our client, a large Los Angeles nightclub, involved in an apparently significant personal injury lawsuit. A conflict of interest between the insurance company and our client, the insured defendant, arose when the insurance company denied our client full coverage after the insurance companies attorneys recommended a settlement in excess of our client’s seven figure policy limits. After four months our law firm established the claims against our client were not well founded which allowed the insurance carrier to settle the lawsuit for a low five figure amount.

• Robert J. Allan successfully negotiated a licensing arrangement between Market China Inc. and a premier US entertainment company that creates and licenses intellectual property for the entertainment industry. The arrangement gave Market China Inc. exclusive rights to use the entertainment company's intellectual property in the Chinese market.


• Acting as general counsel to Univessence Digital Studios, Robert J Allan conducted due diligence on a potential merger partner and concluded that the merger would not be beneficial for both parties and advised its client to withdraw from the potential merger, saving the clients from a high six-figure loss.

• As general counsel to “The Lab,” a successful film production company, Robert J. Allan assisted in forming the company and advised the clients on contract negotiations for film services in foreign countries.


• Robert J. Allan successfully represented Visage, a professional photography agency, in a breach of contract case and in an insurance bad faith case against their insurance company (AMICO) who failed to defend them.
  
  
• Robert J. Allan, as general counsel for SR Technics America, a large aircraft maintenance and modification company, successfully negotiated a settlement of a contract dispute involving over $100 million dollars with one of the world’s largest aerospace companies.
